Latin actress Zoe Saldaña will be part of director David O. Russell’s new film, a film about which practically nothing is known and which will also feature Rami Malek.
The Deadline portal unveiled these two new signings on Wednesday for an excellent cast that already included Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington.
This new film still has no title and no details of its plot have been revealed, but it is known that it will mean the return to the cinema of the acclaimed Mexican director of photography Emmanuel “El Chivo” Lubezki, who in 2016 became the first person to win. three Oscars in a row for best photography (Gravity, 2013; Birdman, 2014; and The Revenant, 2015).
David O. Russell has been a candidate for the Oscars five times, without ever having taken the statuette, and his filmography includes very interesting titles such as Three Kings (1999), The Fighter (2010), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), American Hustle (2013) and Joy (2015).
Saldaña is one of the best known Latino faces in Hollywood and her name is linked to huge hits on the big screen.
