The guys from Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) have surprised by presenting two very different but very radical variants of the Chevrolet Silverado Yenko / SC equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged hand-built V8 with more than 800 horses, a direct inheritance of the Yenko Super Camaro.
The Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) company has been marketing attractive and radical configurations on the current Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette for a few years. under the name and aesthetics of Don Yenko’s former company, whose preparations on the first generation Camaro are among the most valuable and desired variants by collectors.
In addition to these sports cars, enhanced versions of some Chevrolet pick-ups have also been presented, such as the Yenko Silverado Supercharged 2018 or the no less radical GMC Syclone 2021, which resurrected the mythical Syclone of the nineties. However, all these models had one point in common, they were radical and powerful versions of asphalt. So for their next modified variant with open rear cradle, the SVE guys have decided to radically change the script.
Yenko / SC Silverado Supercharged 2021.
Unlike the other pick-ups presented by this New Jersey workshop, the new fourth-generation Chevrolet Silverado has decided to present two versions. On the one hand the usual street style modification, the new Yenko / SC Silverado Supercharged 2021 with lowered suspension and asphalt wheels, and on the other the Yenko / SC Silverado Supercharged 2021 off-road, which features a heavily modified frame scheme to maximize its off-road performance.
Both variants are very similar but radically different, because although they have the same general modifications, such as the specific Yenko / SC grille, the oversized hood or the Yenko graphics, the frame configuration is radically different. With a BDS raised suspension kit, FOX shock absorbers high performance and 20-inch off-road tires with Nitto Ridge Grappler tires of Earth. In addition, this field version has off-road accessories such as auxiliary optics on the rear bar or the side pillars.
Another common detail for these modified versions of the Silverado 1500 is the mechanics heavily modified by SVE, a 6.2-liter General Motors V8 LS1 that thanks to various new features, including a huge compressor, raises its power to incredible 811 hp (800 hp) and 976 Nm of maximum torque. In order to stop such a mass, SVE adds ventilated 16-inch discs with 6-piston calipers on the front axle.
