Pau’s opening half Antoine Hastoy will be one of the five training partners of the XV de France during the preparation camp for the 6 Nations Tournament which starts this Monday in Nice.
If Fabien Galthié had to reshape his list of 37, the coach of the XV of France finalized that of the “training partners” of his troops. As part of the “performance partnership” between the National Rugby League (LNR) and the French Rugby Federation (FFR), the staff of the XV de France can select five additional players, coming from clubs with no more than one of its members from the list of 37 selected. While this additional list has not been officially communicated by the FFR, the clubs have not failed to confirm the provision of their players. After Montois Léo Coly, Columérin Waël Ponpon but also Clermontois Alexandre Fischer and Agenais Nathan Decron, the fifth name was confirmed this Sunday by Section Paloise.

Hastoy observed by Galthié for months
Indeed, a few hours after his defeat at home against Brive in the 19th day of the Top 14, the Béarn club confirmed that Antoine Hastoy would very quickly take the direction of Nice. The 23-year-old opening half of the Section is indeed the fifth “training partner” of the XV of France during the preparation camp for the first match of the 6 Nations Tournament in Italy, which starts this Monday and will run until February 5 on the Côte d’Azur. A presence in Nice which will last a few days, the Section Paloise having confirmed the return of its young opening half “at the end of the week” next. A selection which is however not a surprise since Fabien Galthié has already spotted Antoine Hastoy, whom he presented as ” a very good number 10 who is maturing very quickly and making good matches ”On the occasion of an interview with Canal + last September. Participation in the regrouping of the Blues which could therefore not be the last for the native of Bayonne.
