Xiaomi’s machinery never stops and rare is the month in which we do not welcome a model from one of its many brands. The turn now will be for a historic one, the Redmi born from its entrails and preparing at least two launches within the high-end and the high-premium range: The Redmi K40.
We always talk about two terminals because so far two models have been leaked from a range that, on the other hand, is official. The Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro They have left us some characteristics over the weeks and now it has been Redmi itself that has revealed images of what its back will be like, revealing characteristics of its camera equipment and its design.
The design of the Redmi K40 revealed
In the image shown by the brand itself, one of the promotional posters of the next Xiaomi Redmi K40, you can see the model in black, which seems to correspond to the Redmi K40 Black Edition, maybe a special version included within the line. On the back it can also be seen that the phone relies on three sensors, and some data has also been leaked from these cameras.
Sources close to the brand speak that both the Redmi K40 and the Redmi K40 Pro would bet on triple rear cameras, the main one of the K40 being a 64 megapixel one while the K40 Pro would arrive with 108 megapixels on board. The two phones must arrive with Android 11 on board hidden behind MIUI 12.5, although there is a possibility that they will arrive with MIUI 12 and the update to 12.5 guaranteed.
Characteristics of its batteries are also known, although in no case are they official. 4,420 mAh for both phones, both with 33W fast charging, by the way. In terms of brains, everything indicates that the Redmi K40 Pro would arrive with the Snapdragon 888 while the Redmi K40 could bet on a Snapdragon from the 700 series, or perhaps on the recent Snapdragon 870, both from Qualcomm.
The two models will have 5G SA / NSA connectivity, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, stereo speakers, and 6.67-inch diagonal FullHD + screens. Apparently we are talking about Super AMOLED manufactured by Samsung and with up to 120Hz refresh rate, with a front perforation for the camera. The launch of the models is very close and it will not take long to know everything about them, although there are already hints that the Redmi K40 will start at 2,999 yuan, about 380 euros at the current exchange rate.
