The Chinese giant has presented the Xiaomi Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition, an unconventional smart television that stands out for having a transparent panel that gives it a unique look, thanks to that floating image effect that is only possible to achieve with this type of panel.

Xiaomi has us used to launching cheap products and weighing their quality-price value, but as you may have imagined, the Xiaomi Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition completely breaks that trend. We are before a premium high-end TV in the broadest sense of the word, since it applies both to its design and to the quality of materials and, obviously, also to its performance.

The Xiaomi Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition has a size of 55 inch, and we know it uses a transparent OLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, thanks to MEMC technology (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensantion). Its response time is 1 ms, but we are not sure what resolution it is capable of offering. A priori the most normal would be 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, but Xiaomi has not specified this information. It is curious, because, however, the Chinese company has provided other important details, such as the color spectrum (reproduces 93% of the DCI-P3 spectrum) and Dolby Atmos support.

This television is just 5.7 mm thick, has very contained edges, as we can see in the images, and is mounted on a large circular base. Your heart is made up of a SoC MediaTek 9659, a fairly powerful chip that has a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU. Memory and storage configurations have not been revealed, but expect a minimum of 3GB and 32GB total, respectively.

Xiaomi Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition: availability and price

The Chinese company has not specified when it will be available the Xiaomi Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition, and it has not said whether it plans to launch other versions with a larger (or smaller) screen size, so for now we can only wait.

In any case, if you decide to release smaller versions we can expect a more affordable price, while those possible variants with a larger screen size would obviously be much more expensive.

The price of the Xiaomi Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition in its 55-inch version is 6,110 euros at the change, a very high figure and, we remember, does not include the corresponding taxes. If we applied them we would get above 7,000 euros.
