It seems that users of Xbox they will close the year without a great exclusive. Today it has been confirmed that CrossfireX, a shooter from Smilegate Entertainment and Remedy, will no longer be available at the end of 2020, as originally planned, and will now hit Microsoft platforms at an unspecified point in 2021.

Similar to other delays we’ve seen throughout the year, It has been mentioned that this postponement is due to the effects that COVID-19 has caused in the world. This was what was commented:

“After much deliberation, and in consideration of the challenges faced by the Smilegate development team due to COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to delay the launch of CrossfieX until 2021.”

Remember that CrossfireX has two development teams. While Remedy is in charge of the campaign, Smilegate is behind the multiplayer. This title will be available sometime in 2021 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. In related topics, Phil Spencer apologizes for the console shortage. Similarly, the Xbox Series S already has a discount in Mexico.
