The Amway Arena pavilion would be the venue for WWE SummerSlam 2020.
The idea was to go to Atlantic City or New Jersey, but Covid-19 has changed plans.
WWE SummerSlam 2020 would be held at the Amway Arena
It is likely that This year’s WWE SummerSlam is held at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
Multiple sources have confirmed that the location is the one currently on the schedule, and they have advised all talents that they had to book a trip to Orlando. Internally, Amway Arena has been said to be the planned location.
It is expected that when the decision is finalized, the official announcement of the event venue will be made.
As previously reported, WWE was looking for a Northeast location to bring the August 23 show with Atlantic City, New Jersey as the main target.
The plan was made to remove SummerSlam, traditionally one of their biggest shows of the year, outside the WWE Performance Center. At this point, tickets to the show will not be sold and members of the public will continue to be WWE-hired talent.
For that weekend, WWE has already booked the Performance Center to broadcast the last SmackDown show before WWE SummerSlam and NXT TakeOver XXX will also air live the following night from the Performance Center.
While the arena has not confirmed publicly yet, multiple sources tell me #WWE will in fact hold #SummerSlam at Amway Center in Orlando, with load-in starting as early as tomorrow. @WrestleVotes was first to hint at it. To my knowledge, Amway’s first major event since COVID. https://t.co/rLXPE3WbuT
