WWE is analyzing having fans virtually at SummerSlam 2020

The most relevant Summer Pay Per Event will not be held at the Performance Center

Beginnings of May, WWE made it official that this year’s SummerSlam was not going to take place in Boston, as originally planned, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the fact that Vince McMahon is totally against the Performance Center being the headquarters of another of the 4 most important PPV’s of the company, as happened with WrestleMania, a plan has been devising to carry it out the event in an outdoor location with the possibility of having a small group of fans as attendees.

A couple of weeks ago, it was speculated that WWE was going to announce that SummerSlam would have an open location with 500 fans, being the city of Atlanta that led the candidacies.

What prevents WWE from doing the PPV with fans?

Although the US authorities did allow WWE to hold an outdoor event with fans, they have run into the obstacle of finding a company that provides an insurance policy for the show, this is a big problem since shareholders do not they are willing to sign disclaimers in relation to the coronavirus because they believe it would attract a lot of negative press.

According to sources within the organization, se has the belief that WWE will record SS in various locations, mainly at Orlando’s Amway Center.

The top brass have lately been exploring the alternative of having fans virtually – as seen in the NBA or Liga MX – an option that McMahon would have vetoed shortly after WM, underestimating the duration of the current pandemic.

In case WWE decides to have fans virtually, would you like to participate and appear on the live broadcast of the event?
