Blizzard Entertainment released World of Warcraft Classic, a recreation of the original World of Warcraft experience that turned out to be very successful. Burning Crusade Classic promises to bring that same experience, but recreated to players new and old from World of Warcraft Classic. With the arrival of this recreated expansion, new kingdom types will be added to this title.
“You have overcome all the challenges of Azeroth. Now, a darker frontier awaits you on the other side of the Dark Portal. Return to a lost era of Azeroth and enjoy the timeless stories that shaped this world at war, ”reads the expansion’s official description.
What will happen to the kingdoms of Era?
You should know that all current WoW Classic realms will become Realms of Progression and all characters will be able to continue enjoying content updates as they become available. For their part, characters in the Kingdoms of Era will continue to play within the Shadow of the Necropolis content update, which will be preferred by users who want to continue playing on Azeroth.
If you wish to continue in Era, you will be able to move your existing characters to an Era realm at no additional cost prior to the arrival of Burning Crusade Classic, but note that characters who remain in Era will not be able to advance beyond Shadow of the Necropolis so it will not be possible for them to exceed level 60, go to Outland, select the blood elves or draenei or enjoy other additions to Burning Crusade Classic.
In case you missed it: Blizzard Entertainment has already announced the new update for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
Once you transfer a character from an Era to a Progression realm, you will no longer be able to return them to Era, so make this decision in peace. However, you can keep your character in Era and take a clone to Burning Crusade to play with thanks to a cloning service that Blizzard will launch, but you must also take into account that it can only be used once per character.
You will be able to access Burning Crusade Classic if you have an active World of Warcraft subscription; No additional purchase will be required and it is expected to be available sometime in 2021, but you can already sign up to test the beta on the game’s official page.
As we told you, Blizzard will continue with the festivities throughout the day and is expected to reveal more details about the renewal of Burning Crusade in the next few hours.
