We haven’t seen Samoa Joe compete in a WWE ring in a long time and we will have to wait a little longer. The wrestler and commentator himself has confirmed in an interview with Rick Ucchino of the Sportskeeda portal that, for the moment, there is no set deadline to return to the ring after suffering a concussion in February 2020.
“As for the deadlines to return, there is no established one. I want people to know about my situation: the WWE medical team is doing everything possible to get me back in competition as soon as possible, so we take our time and they are making sure that he is as healthy as possible to return ”, he explained.
For Joe, his injury and the coronavirus pandemic have disrupted many plans, but he wants to prioritize his health when he returns. “I don’t want to rush for obvious reasons, these injuries are delicate. There have been problems due to the pandemic, my situation and the lack of medical personnel due to the coronavirus ”, he stated.
Given the rumors of the end of his career, Joe wanted to settle it: he is not retired. “We are taking a careful and measured approach. For all those who think about it, my career is not over, it has just stopped for a while. I am grateful for the recovery time I am having because my health is being respected the most. “
It should be remembered that, during this injury, Samoa Joe was also sanctioned by WWE with 30 day suspension for violating the welfare policy last February, the same month in which he suffered the illness.
