We haven’t heard from the project for weeks, so we didn’t know anything about the start of production. Fortunately, this changed today, as important details about the tape were revealed.

Thanks to this, we know the code name of the film and the date when its production will officially begin. Likewise, the name of the study in charge of the project and an estimated figure of its budget were revealed.

Thanks to a report from The Sonic Stadium, we know that the production of the sequel to Sonic: The Movie will still take a few months to start, as it will not start this year. Details of the tape were found on the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) page.

We know that the production of the film will begin in March 2021 and is expected to last until May of the same year. A curious detail was also revealed, since the code name of the film is Emerald Hill, which refers to one of the most emblematic areas of the franchise.

On the other hand, we know that the studio in charge of production is Red Energy Films, which has an approximate budget of $ 20 million for making the film. It is known that Abraham Fraser, producer of locations, will participate in the sequel.

There is currently no information on the cast of the film. According to some sources, it does not rule out that its production is affected by the pandemic and by the security measures that must be followed.

It was previously confirmed that Nael H. Moritz; Toby Ascher and Toru Nakahara will be producing the film.
