VOTE | Nadal, Djokovic or Federer … who will win the 21st Grand Slam first?

Novak Djokovic It seems to be the best positioned despite the last two slips in the Olympics and US Open, falling in the semifinals and final respectively. The Serbian has won three Grand Slam titles this year (Australian Open, Roland-Garros and Wimbledon) and has come very close to matching Rod Laver and conquering all four in a calendar year. Only the pressure of being the greatest can play against him, but for now he is the top candidate next January to lift a new title in Australia: he has won nine, the last three in a row.

There are more doubts with Nadal and Federer. The Spaniard leaves the year empty in terms of Grand Slams, in the semifinals of Roland-Garros he fell to Djokovic and has not played Wimbledon or the US Open due to foot problems. Also, he has recently been seen on crutches. The break may come in handy to gain strength for a 2022 that is a great challenge for the Spanish. That Australia is the first Grand Slam of the year is not positive for him either: he has only won one in his career and in three of the last four years he has not made it past the quarter-finals.

TO Roger Federer You always have to take him into account, even knowing that he has not won a Grand Slam since 2018 (Australian Open), that since then he has only stepped on one final and that he has been absent from up to five tournaments due to injuries. Just having knee surgery for the third time, his return to the slopes is unknown, so he could already be ruled out for Melbourne.

The battle continues: Nadal, Djokovic and Federer, on the hunt for the 21st Grand Slam
