NYC drag artist Virginia Thicc was not playing any games on this week’s episode of Cosmo Queens. For years Virginia has provided her fans on IG and YouTube with plenty of top-notch ‘fits, and her transformation featured here was def one for the books. Please, let us all take a moment of silence to appreciate that flawless, glittery, red lip … thank you.
Virginia got into drag only a couple of years back, “I’ve always admired drag queens as I grew up in nightlife as a gogo boy in California but I was always too scared to actually try it. So when I moved to NYC a few years ago, I told myself ‘What do I have to lose?’ and did it. I instantly fell in love with the art and wanted to perfect my craft. ”
Obviously, every queen needs a solid soundtrack, and luckily Virginia “has the musical taste of a middle school girl,” (I mean, don’t we all occasionally?)
“There is a 95% chance you will always catch her performing to a current pop song. Many times is Dua Lipa. But every now and then she’ll throw in a little Nicki for the Barbs.”
If you ever want to catch one of these pop-filled performances, you can find this queen at NYC’s HappyFun Hideaway on the second Sunday of every month, and every single Sunday at XOXO bar in Hell’s Kitchen.
