Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas was the fastest in the final practice session of the Italian GP with a time of 1: 20.809 and was closely followed by McLaren drivers Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris.
Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo finished in fourth place, but it wasn’t a good closing session for the Australian driver, after struggling in the R.S.20, just like in last week’s second practice at Spa. This time the team indicated that it could be a fuel pump failure. This incident generated a red flag eight minutes after the end of the tests.
Lewis Hamilton finished in fifth place. At the close of the session he was very close to impacting his rivals before reaching the Parabolic curve, who were walking very slowly. The British had to perform an evasive maneuver. In fact, they were called by the commissioners to review this situation: Nicholas Latifi, Romain Grosjean, Sergio Pérez, Alexander Albon, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly and Lance Stroll, as well as Lewis Hamilton.
The Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon finished in sixth and seventh places, followed by Esteban Ocon of Renault and the Racing Points of Lance Stroll and Sergio Pérez, who closed the top 10.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel finished in eleventh and fifteenth places, confirming that they will have a rather difficult classification.
The AlphaTauri of Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat had a low profile when occupying the twelfth and thirteenth time.
The Haas, Williams and Alfa Romeo occupied the last positions.
At 3:00 p.m. from Monza, the classification of the Italian Grand Prix will begin with LIVE broadcast from F1Latam.com.
