Ubisoft Announces Live Action Series of ‘Driver’

Via Gamesindustry.biz we have learned that Ubisoft is working on a new television project based on the hit open world driving video game, ‘Driver’. The live action series will be produced by Ubisoft Film & Television, with Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik, Genevieve Jones, Allan Ungar and Vincent Talenti serving as executive producers.

The story centers on undercover agent and former racing driver John Tanner and his various clashes with a crime syndicate he’s hell-bent on taking down. The announcement comes as Ubisoft continues to try to establish itself in the world of film and television and with some of its properties ready to make the leap, including ‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’, ‘Beyond Good & Evil’ and ‘Assassin’s Creed’.

According to Ubisoft, the series will launch exclusively on Binge.com, a new streaming platform that was announced during E3 2021 and will act as a destination for original premium content inspired by some of the most popular video game properties. until 2022.
