Querétaro, Mexico.- The Faculty of Nursing hosted this first training in which 200 brigade members from the Faculties of Nursing, Natural Sciences, Chemistry and Medicine participated.
The Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ), started the SARS-COV-2 Training Vaccination Brigades, through which the 300 university students (students and former students) who attended the Institution’s call to be part of this project in favor of the population.
The Faculty of Nursing (FEn) of the UAQ hosted this first training session in which 200 brigade members from the Faculties of Nursing, Natural Sciences, Chemistry and Medicine participated. The rest of the participants will receive the training next Saturday.
The university students were prepared by the staff of the Comprehensive Health Nursing (Ensain) program of the FEn, who in turn received training from SEDENA.
In this regard, the rector of the Maximum House of Studies of the state, Dr. Teresa García Gasca, recognized the willingness of the participants to want to be brigadistas of the vaccination against COVID-19, and with that, she said, to carry out a service in favor the society.
“You are the representation of the more than 300 university students who attended the call. These are difficult moments, we are making history, we are in a historic moment for humanity, this pandemic is going to register and that in the end our University can be a partner in this is also thanks to our people ”, he highlighted.
Likewise, Mtra. Guadalupe Perea Ortiz, head of the Secretariat for University Linking and Services, thanked the participants for having taken the initiative to register as brigade members, as she pointed out that with these actions the UAQ is making history.
« It is a pandemic that is affecting everyone and even if you, staff and students in the health area of the University want to participate makes us feel very proud, regardless of the activity you carry out, this work will be extremely important. We are the only University in the state that is participating, the only School of Nursing that is participating, we are very proud, « he said.
For her part, the acting director of FEn, Mtra. Judith Valeria Frías Becerril, commented that training will also be given to students who are not linked to the health area but who will be supporting in the logistics part, university students of different degrees such as: Psychology, Engineering, and Physiotherapy.
