Two members of the Celta de Vigo squad have tested positive for coronavirus in the PCR tests prior to the start of the preseason. This is yet another team that reveals COVID-19 cases among its ranks, after the 13 positives that were confirmed last Tuesday.

In the absence of confirmation from the Vigo club, Santi Mina and Brais Méndez would have been the Celta players infected, as pointed out by the newspaper AS. Both players are confined to their homes, pending a second test to confirm the positives.

At first, Óscar García’s team begins the preseason this Wednesday afternoon and will not be able to count on the two Galician players, which can be incorporated into the team dynamics when they accumulate two negative results in the tests.
