Kate Winslet returns to HBO. After collaborating with Todd Haynes on ‘Mildred Pierce’, The renowned actress returns to bet on the limited format with the miniseries ‘Mare of Easttown’, one of the great original bets of the American payment chain for this year. In addition to the obvious appeal of having a name as lustrous as Winslet at the head of its cast, this fiction will try to build an environment based on emotional intrigue.
At the epicenter of the series’ mystery, a murder in a small town in Pennsylvania, is Winslet’s character, Mare Sheehan. This detective will be dedicated to investigating the crime that has shaken a seemingly united community, but that hides a face much darker than one might imagine in the first instance. In addition, to increase the difficulty of the challenge he faces, Mare’s life will begin to unravel as he advances in the investigation.
‘Mare of Easttown’ was created by Brad Ingelsby and directed by Craig Zobel, while the cast is completed by Evan Peters, Guy Pearce, Jean Smart, Julianne Nicholson, Angourie Rice, Cailee Spaeny, David Denman, John Douglas Thompson, James McArdle and Sosie Bacon. Its premiere is scheduled for April 19 on HBO Spain.
