Toño Mauri continues to recover after overcoming his contagion of Covid-19 and its consequences, which led him to receive a double lung transplant.
A few days after leaving the hospital where he was held for several months, the actor confessed that he was able to send a message to the family of his donor, although he does not rule out the idea of meeting them.
“I wrote a letter to the donor’s family, where I express what I feel, my gratitude and yes, if there is the opportunity I would like to meet them, let them see this part of me,” said Mauri in an interview for the Despierta América program.
When mentioning the person who gave him his organs, Toño said: “It is a very sensitive part because I don’t know what it is like, but I visualize an angel of light giving us his organs to be able to live and I am sure that all those beings are in a very special place ”.
On February 12, the 56-year-old actor was discharged after being hospitalized for seven months after complications derived from his coronavirus infection.
