He Tour de France 2020 faces the final stretch of this edition. This Thursday the stage 18 of the gala round with a route of 175 km that will start in Méribel and end in La Roche-sur-Foron. The reigning champion, Egan Bernal, who no longer started in the seventeenth stage after announcing his retirement this Wednesday, will be the main absence.

This third mountain day will feature more than 4,000 meters of accumulated unevenness. The great climbers will give their best to try to win the stage. It will be a hard day where they will chain five ports in a row, without flat kilometers between them.

168 km of constant ups and downs make up a route without any flat section on a mountainous day. The Montée du plateau des Giléres, less than 40 km from the finish, will be the highlight of the day with 6 km of climb to 11.2% of unevenness and some brutal ramps. Thus, a small group of runners will compete for the victory in the Col des Fleuries descent.
