People of high and medium-high socioeconomic status are the main consumers online.

E-commerce in Mexico continues to grow and young people between the ages of 25 and 34 are a fundamental part of this type of commerce. Online men’s and women’s purchases are different.
For example, during 2019 the majority of online purchases were made in food, fashion and electronics delivery.
Young people aged 25-34 are the largest online shoppers, followed by the 35-44 age group.
Of these shoppers, the majority belong to the upper and upper middle social class, but there is a trend towards the lower middle class due to the payment opportunities in convenience stores such as Oxxo.

Almost 50% of e-commerce sales come from the center of the country, mainly from CDMX and the State of Mexico. Followed by Nuevo León, Jalisco, Querétaro, Veracruz and Puebla.
