Age of Empires II is updated with Battle Royale mode and more news
Up to 8 players can participate in Battle Royale games in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. It will be played on one of the 5 new custom maps created especially for this modality.
The goal is to kill all the players and be the last one standing; However, the task will not be easy, since it is a free-for-all. Each participant will start the games with 2 hero units and the map will shrink little by little.
This means that players will have a limited time to collect resources. Also, in the last phase of the game, battles will be inevitable. Another novelty that will be well received is Quick Play, which allows you to quickly set the type of game and everything related to the map.
Lastly, Forgotten Empires updated the general user interface and the one displayed in the civilization selection. It also added tips on the loading screens, so players can gradually improve their strategies in RTS.
“The new main menu user interface simplifies navigation in almost every way and makes it easier to find the content that interests them, and represents the start of more exciting updates in the coming months,” the study stated.
