The instant messaging application updates its functions in all its versions.
WhatsApp, in addition to being a smartphone application, has also become a platform for computers where the functions of exchanging messages between users can be carried out.
That is why some updates to the application have certain modifications in their web version. As is the case with Windows 10, which recently announced its adaptation to the new functions of the application owned by Facebook.
WhatsApp recently announced the activation of self-destructing messages. The new function will make messages disappear after 7 days if the user wishes.
If a contact doesn’t open WhatsApp for seven days, the message will disappear. However, the message preview may remain visible in notifications until WhatsApp is opened.
When you reply to a message, the initial message is quoted. If you reply to a temporary message, the quoted text may remain visible in the chat even after seven days. If an ephemeral message is forwarded to a chat room where temporary messages are disabled, it will remain visible in the forwarded chat.
WhatsApp added this temporary message feature to their mobile apps, and now, those who are using WhatsApp Desktop on their Windows 10 PC can use it too.
