The superlative Lamborghini Huracán STO leaked shortly before its presentation

Although the new Lamborghini Huracán STO will be presented in a few hours, we already have the first image of the model courtesy of the Lamborghini Unica app, where the brand has published the first photograph of the radical new track version of the 10-cylinder sports car.

Today is the day that Lamborghini will present the most radical variant of the Huracán range to date. A version of what we expected would mount the most radical configuration of the model to date, with the intention of turning the Italian mid-engined sports car into a true circuit beast. Our suspicions have turned out to be true and the new Lamborghini Huracán STO It is the most diabolical and extreme personification that we have seen to date in this range of the Italian manufacturer.

Although we have decided to use the word filtration, the truth is that this photograph has been published by the brand itself, but in the Lamborghini Unica mobile app, so in theory this image has been an exclusive advance for its users. Although as is usual in these cases, shortly after its publication the image had been shared on different social networks. One of the first to reveal the photograph was none other than the dealer HR Owen Lamborghini From london.

As we can see in the front picture, the new Lamborghini Huracán STO (acronym for Super Trofeo Omologato) is a noticeably more radical variant than all the versions we’ve seen so far of the 10-cylinder sports car, including the impressive 640 hp Lamborghini Huracán Performante. So it should come as no surprise that the company will try to set a new time at the Nürburgring with this specially track-enabled beast and improve on the 06: 52.01 set by the Performante version.

Racing DNA

The inspiration for this new version is clear, as we can find numerous details inherited from the racing variant, the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO. In the front area we find a very aggressive nose with huge air intakes at the bottom and a very pronounced splitter, in addition to the two air vents on the hood. We cannot see the rear area but from here the presence of the upper chimney-type air intake and the huge rear spoiler can be clearly seen.

As for its mechanics, the specifications of the model have not yet transcended, but we can assume that the 5.2-liter atmospheric V10 has been suitably boosted with respect to the configuration mounted by the 640-horsepower Lamborghini Huracán EVO. The Huracan STO will be officially unveiled today, so during the afternoon we will have all the images and data of the model.
