The nightmare is over, tennis returned to enjoy in the US Open 2021 from the heat of an audience devoted to the show and crowded stands, with no capacity restrictions beyond the mandatory vaccination certificate that ticket buyers were required to access the complex located in Flushing Meadows. It has been two weeks in which the New York public has enjoyed tennis, taking over the courts and registering a total of 631,134 attendees in the two weeks of the event. This figure represents only a 15% reduction compared to the historical record registered in 2019, with 737,919 viewers.
Total attendance for the 2021 US Open was 631,134 – 85 percent of 2019’s record-setting attendance of 737,919.
