The Simpsons will continue to talk to Hibbert’s new voice actor | 20th Century Studios
The Simpsons have announced that the veteran voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson will assume the voice of Dr. Hibbert, replacing Harry Shearer after 30 years in the role.

Shearer will continue to voice his other characters, including Ned Flanders, director Skinner and Mr. Burns, according to Deadline.
Fox confirmed that on the last night ofl « Diary of the Queen » – episode of the series 696a – would be the last in Shearer role as Hibbert, with Richardson set to become voice charge of the character from next Sunday February 28th.
The move comes as part of a series of changes to the voice cast after the decision to Hank Azaria’s resignation as the voice of Carl last September led the show’s producers to promise that white actors would no longer voice non-white characters.

Azaria had also previously expressed to Apu, and decided earlier this year distancing oneself from the character due to stereotypes perpetuated by the character.
