As you will remember, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood They have been somewhat active this year. The Stones returned with new music
Since 2006 with A Bigger Bang, The Rolling Stones has not released an album with completely original songs. Yes, in 2012 they released a single called “Doom and Gloom” and a year later the album was released Blue & Lonesome, but it only included covers of some of the blues artists who inspired them, like Buddy Johnson, Howlin ‘Wolf, Memphis slim and more.

What is “Criss Cross” about?
Through their social networks, with hype and cymbal, the band said they would premiere this song, however, it seems that this song was not composed during the pandemic. It turns out that on the album the Stones released in 1973, Goats Head Soup, many songs were left off the official list that came out on the album, which includes songs like “Angie”, Silver Train and “Coming Down Again ”
One of them is “Criss Cross”, who for years appeared in box sets and special editions of the album as “Criss Cross Man”. But now and taking advantage of the quarantine, they have decided to release it for all of us. This is a song that completely sounds like that time of the band, with Keith Richards playing powerful riffs while Jagger uses his voice to beg almost almost a woman to save him.
“Criss Cross” is accompanied by a video directed by the director Diana Kunst, who has worked with a lot of artists, from Madonna, Rosalia and A $ AP Rocky. In him we see the crazy adventures of a woman in New York and California, where everything happens, from being in contact with nature, to encountering the challenges of living in cities like these. Really, he faces all kinds of things.
