The ‘Rick and Morty’ team is already working on the seventh season

‘Rick and Morty’ has become a phenomenon since its first season premiered in 2013 with its outrageous episodes. While fans of the series eagerly await the premiere of the fifth season, the team behind the project is taking the opportunity to advance some of the work and have confirmed that they are already immersed in the seventh installment of the fiction broadcast on Adult Swim.

‘Rick and Morty’

The season four finale aired in May 2020 and a release date for the next batch of episodes has not been confirmed at this time. However, there is nothing to fear, since in 2018 the chain belonging to Cartoon Network commissioned a whopping 70 new episodes of its great success. With that future assured ahead, screenwriter Alex Rubens dropped on February 20 on his Twitter account that they were already working on the seventh installment: « Can I say that we started writing the seventh season of ‘Rick and Morty’? (If not, we haven’t and I haven’t said so)« .

On the other hand, one of the creators of the animation, Dan Harmon, revealed in November that they were doing a lot of work: « I think we’re working on ‘Rick and Morty’ season 7 right now, I can’t even keep track. I can’t tell if I’m gutting Season 5 or Season 6. ”After the long wait between Season 3 and Season 4, this preview gives us hope for the future of the series, which could reduce lapses between runs.

‘Solar Opposites’ comes to Disney +

Fans of ‘Rick and Morty’ can liven up their wait with ‘Solar Opposites’, a fiction created by Justin Roiland. The series comes directly to Disney + through the Star catalog on February 23. It tells the story of four aliens who accidentally land on Earth and are torn between living with humans in a residential neighborhood in the United States or escaping the planet and looking for another home. A project that has a similar style to the animation broadcast on Adult Swim, starting from the mind of one of its creators.
