Yesterday Famitsu revealed the number of PS5 and Xbox Series X | S sold in Japan in the last week. Now, today more information was shared about this market, where we can see that, despite the shortage problems, The PS5 did manage to defeat the Nintendo Switch, at least during the first days of the new console’s life.

While the PS5 managed to sell 118,085 units, the Nintendo Switch dropped to second position with 116,267 consoles. On the software side, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin took first, second, and third place respectively, while Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales came in at eighth.
