Very important new features arrive in the range of the new CUPRA León. The compact sports car of Spanish origin, one of the central pillars of the offer CUPRA, finally bet on conventional engines. To date, it was only possible to configure this model with plug-in hybrid mechanics. Now, the expected lands in our market 2.0-liter TSI gasoline engine.
This block, available both for the five-door model and for the more practical and familiar alternative, the CUPRA León Sportstourer, develops a power of up to 310 hp and is offered exclusively with an automatic gearbox. Let’s go into details and break down all the keys. Under the hood of the CUPRA compact, a 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder petrol engine that develops a power of 300 hp and 400 Nm of maximum torque. In the case of the León Sportstourer, this power is increases to 310 hp
respectively. Now the torque remains the same.
Block 2.0 TSI is uniquely associated with a Seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox. There is no possibility of opting for a six-speed manual gearbox. Both models are capable of reaching a top speed of 250 km / h. However, it is the Leon with five doors and 300 hp that declares the best consumption / emissions figures.
Based on the WLTP cycle, an average fuel consumption of 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers and CO2 emissions of 172 g / km is set. For its part, the ST body variant worsens these figures to 8.3 l / 100 and 186 g / km respectively.
