Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., born on November 20, 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Currently has 78 years. He is the first of four siblings.
His wife is Jill Tracy Biden. His sons are Hunter Biden, Beau Biden (deceased), Ashley Biden, Naomi Christina Biden (deceased).
Life in Delaware and education
In 1953, the Biden family moved from Pennsylvania to Claymont, Delaware, where he later developed his political career.
He was a stutterer from childhood to 20 years, so it is difficult for him to express himself and articulate ideas through speech. In February 2020, he told CNN cameras that growing up he felt ashamed of his condition. The Atlantic confessed that it was difficult for him to pronounce the letter “S” and that, although he did not remember specific details, he did remember the “feeling” it generated.
Joe Biden remembers that his mother told him “Don’t let that define you” and that is how little by little he began to practice speeches in front of the mirror. Especially during his political rise.
The Democrat graduated from the University of Delaware School of Law and Syracuse and served on the New Castle County Council.
The beginning of his political life coincides with personal tragedy
Joe Biden began practicing as lawyer in 1969 in the city of Wilmington, in Delaware. At age 29 he became one of the younger senators in accessing the position. His life in public service was paying off quickly, but that’s when tragedy struck.
The Hispanic Council recounts that, just a few weeks after her election to the Senate, Joe Biden’s then-wife, Neiliaas well as her one-year-old daughter, Naomi, died and their two young children were seriously injured in a car accident.
“The then Senator Biden, was sworn in to the United States Senate at the hospital where his children were kept.”
This fact devastated him. But in his memoirs he says that just looking at his surviving children inspired him to move on, at a time when he had come to understand how some people could consider suicide not just as an option, but as a rational option.
He was a senator for 36 years
Joe Biden was a senator from Delaware for 36 years, a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee for 17 years. He was also a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for 12 years and served in shaping America’s foreign policy.
In February 1988, Joe Biden suffered two brain aneurysms life-threatening, as they are abnormal widenings in the arteries. He has said in his memoirs that the experience made him the kind of man he is.

Biden was the Vice President of the United States during the Barack Obama administration from 2008 to 2016. His main adopted causes were to boost the economy of the middle class and oversee foreign policy projects.
Tragedy invaded the family again when their son Beau was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 And he passed away from glioblastoma in 2015, just as he was running for governor of Delaware.
“We know that the spirit of Beau will survive in all of us, especially through his courageous wife, Hallie, and his two remarkable children, Natalie and Hunter,” said the then Vice President of the United States after the death of his son.
