Yesterday there was very good news for fans of The Legend of Zelda because Nintendo would not miss the opportunity to celebrate 30 years of the series and revealed that it will spoil fans with the upcoming release The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for Nintendo Switch. . The details were not abundant and it was only mentioned that it would be a port with an improved visual appearance and controls adapted to the new Nintendo system. However, the company has just provided more information on this.

Through the game’s official page on the Nintendo eShop, the Japanese company offers more details about the title and one of the most striking is that it will have support for amiibo. This is a great novelty, because when the original installment debuted in 2011 it did not offer this feature because the amiibo debuted in 2014.

Unfortunately, the page does not indicate what the interaction of the amiibo with the game will consist of. Here we enter the field of speculation, as Nintendo could decide to offer useful in-game items when using an amiibo, such as arrows or hearts, or it could add a completely new function to the title, as in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, in which added a new challenge and Link Lobo’s amiibo could be used as a save point.

You won’t need a lot of free storage on your Switch to play Skyward Sword HD

So far, Nintendo has not revealed a new amiibo focused on this new game, but it is important to remember that a few years ago it released a Link amiibo in its version of Skyward Sword, so it is very possible that it will produce it again. Also, it is very possible that the title works with the other amiibo in the series.

Additionally, the Nintendo eShop page reveals that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD can be played on the station connected to the TV, in portable mode and in Tabletop mode, apart from being compatible with the Pro Controller.

Another very interesting detail is that you will not need much space to install it, as it only requires 7.5 GB of storage if you decide to buy it digitally. Likewise, it is mentioned that it will be possible to make use of the cloud saving service, a function available as part of the benefits of the Nintendo Switch Online.

In case you missed it: Nintendo could be preparing more surprises to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda.
