The iPad Pro (2021) is filtered in renders with a design almost traced to the current model, according to David Kowalski

Almost a year has passed since we saw the iPad Pro arrive in its 2020 edition and we are already very close to the 2021 model. It is at least what can be deduced by seeing the renders that have been leaked of what may be the next Apple tablet version. An iPad that everything points, would return with 11 and 12.9 inch sizes.

A model that according to the leaked images, it would maintain the basis of the model that we all know in terms of design, to focus the improvements on the changes that would come in its internal components, adapted to the improvements that Apple usually introduces each period of time.

No change on the outside … apparently

A leak possible thanks to David Kowalski, who has been in charge of sharing CAD-based images of upcoming iPad Pro models (2021) that would hit the market. Models that repeat diagonals of 11 and 12.9 inches.

In the Twitter account of Kowalski (Xleaks), and in collaboration with Pigtou, it is appreciated a design almost traced to the current model. They claim that the « possible » new iPad will measure 247.6mm high, 178.5mm wide, and 5.9mm thick (7.7mm with camera module) on the 11-inch model. In this way, owners of a 2020 model that have the Magic Keyboard, could continue to use the keyboard that Apple launched a year ago.

According to these photos, the quadrangular protuberance that serves to house the camera is still present, which still has the same sensor layout. In this sense, everything points to the presence of a main sensor, a wide angle lens and a LiDAR sensor.

Continuing with the design, the three dots appear on the back intended to serve as a magnetic connection to connect to the Magic Keyboard or other iPad cases. A model that is also committed to keep using the USB Type-C port at the bottom.

Also still present, according to the photos, the four speakers located at the ends of the tablet. Also, they report that the two generations of the Apple Pencil should also work with the iPad Pro (2021).

As for the interior, everything is unknown. It will be necessary to see which is the chosen processor, if the company opts for the same version that has arrived with the iPhone 12 or bets on the new M1 chip that has debuted with silicone in its new laptops.

For now it’s just rumors, chances, since the company has not confirmed any information. One possibility would be a presentation between May and June of this year, coinciding with WWDC 2021, although this deadline would not square with the 18-month calendar that more or less Apple usually lets pass between the different generations of the iPad.
