Google’s doodle to raise awareness about covid-19 0:53
(CNN Spanish) – While the delta variant of the coronavirus raises concern in several countries, Google generated a doodle that supports prevention against covid-19. “Get vaccinated. Wear a mask. Save lives”, is the main phrase of the campaign.
It is not the first time that the search engine uses its best-known tool to raise awareness in the context of the pandemic. In April he had already presented his doodle with masks to make visible the important care to avoid contagion of covid-19.
Now, Google added in its awareness campaign the importance of vaccines. The letters of the doodle appear with band-aids on their “arms”, as if to represent that they have been vaccinated against covid-19.

By clicking on the doodle, the search engine redirects users to official information about covid-19.
Despite advances in vaccine distribution, the pandemic continues to wreak havoc in several countries. Many areas that had achieved a drop in the number of covid-19 cases face a rebound, amid the spread of the more contagious delta variant.
In the United States, several companies impose the condition of being vaccinated against covid-19 so that employees return to the office.
Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently updated the guide on mask use. Among other issues, it is recommended that vaccinated people continue to use masks in closed places and in certain areas that are experiencing an epidemiological situation that is still complicated.
