Manchester Untied and Wolverhampton could be ‘victims of their success’ in Europe.

As expected, the worrying calendar crossings that the suspension of soccer would necessarily generate due to the covid-19 coronavirus pandemic have already begun.

The concern is specifically Manchester United and Wolverhampton, teams that will be in the definition of the Europa League, to be decided in Germany from August 10 to 21. Both teams hope to advance from the quarterfinal phase and the truth is that they have great possibilities to do so, and even to be finalists

That would be a headache as the next Premier League season will begin on September 12, but according to . there is a management agreement for clubs to have a minimum of 30 days off before the start of the 2021/2022 campaign.

It means that, according to the calculation, they would not debut in the Premier until September 21, at best, which would complicate compliance with the following schedule.

Who will sacrifice? Will players cut back on their vacations? It doesn’t seem likely. Are deferred matches, so common on this side of the world, coming in the rigid Premier League?
