If you are looking for alternatives for your son or daughter in this special summer period, The San Juan Art League will be offering virtual workshops for boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 14 years.

“Summer in the League from your home”, as the project is called, will be held from June 8 to July 3 through the Zoom videoconferencing platform, as reported in a press release. Drawing, painting, mud, Japanese cartoon, mosaic and theaterThey will be some of the special courses that will be offered this season.

“The COVID-19 pandemic forces us to explore new ways to offer our traditional program of Summer in the League. The virtual experience allows us to connect with our students and offer their parents a creative alternative for the development of artistic sensitivity and enjoyment for their children this summer, “said Marilú Carrasquillo, executive director of the renowned educational institution.

The workshops will be offered from Monday to Friday with two classes each day, from 10:00 a.m. at 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. at 3:00 pm. The Summer in the League from your home program will include drawing, painting, theater and paper art workshops for ages 6 to 8; and Japanese drawing, painting, caricature, mosaic, pottery, and sculpture for ages 9-14. All classes have been designed to guide the student in the development of their artistic faculties and technical skills, while being in a safe environment from home..

“In the League we have an excellent staff of plastic and interdisciplinary artists, specialists in arts education for boys and girls. They have designed a unique curriculum for this online workshop session, focused on harnessing the creative energy of the boys who this summer will have to stay at home due to the social isolation and security measures that we have had to adopt. Similarly, the classes are focused on the use of recyclable and reusable materials, which are easily found in homes, “said Carrasquillo.

The cost of the summer program includes the basic materials for the classes. Registration for Summer in the League from your home runs until Saturday, June 6. People interested in registering their sons and daughters can visit our newly released website ligadeartesj.org for more information and to make your payments.
