A teenager in eastern England was arrested Monday for shooting a 15-year-old boy on his way to school, police said.

The police of Suffolk It said in a statement that agents received calls shortly after 8:40 a.m. about a shooting in the small town of Kesgrave and that the victim suffered « serious injuries ».

« We have made an arrest as part of the investigation and are working with our partners on Suffolk and our schools to make sure everyone feels safe when they pick up their children from school this afternoon, « said Deputy Chief Rob Jones.
The Keswick High School reported in a tweet that the victim was on his way to school at the time of the incident and that high school students « will be kept safe along with the police. »
