The Times Higher Education ranking

The Times Higher Education Latin America Rankings gather global performance statistics to evaluate research-intensive universities on important objectives.

David garza salazar, Rector and Executive President of the institution, said this means that despite today’s challenging panorama, the Tec has become a knowledge hub on a national and international scale.

“I’d like to thank our students, teachers and the entire Tec community: you’re the pillar of this institution. Your hard work translates into the results of the new Times Higher Education Rankings. Although it’s a privilege to occupy this position, we should remember that it also obliges us to continue working on developing our educational model, which is already providing excellent results, ”added Garza Salazar.

Juan Pablo Murra Lascurain, Rector of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, said these results show once again that the Tec is a center for academic excellence, which is thanks to the contributions it has made to society in research, science and technology, fields that are key to the development of leaders who will have to face the challenges of the future.

Guillermo Torre Amione, Rector of TecSalud and Vice President of Research at Tecnológico de Monterrey, shared that the institution is committed to promoting the disruptive solutions created at the Tec.

It is therefore important to put even more focus on research, an area highlighted in the Strategic Plan for 2025.

“Our presence in this particular ranking is directly related to the investment in research made by the institution. Although we must continue to focus on this area, it’s important to generate strategic partnerships with other bodies so we can encourage more young people to get involved in science and technology nationwide, thus creating a virtuous circle in which productivity translates into generating jobs based on the knowledge economy, ”added Torre Amione.

The most highly ranked indicators for the institution were as follows: research (34%) with 92.6 points, citations (20%) with 78.1 points, and international outlook (7.5%) with 89.8 points.
