Starligue: Nantes hooked by Aix

Despite three goals ahead at half-time, Nantes showed feverishness and conceded the draw on his floor against Aix (23-23). A result that does not do the business of Aix, who see Montpellier move away to second place in the standings.

While Montpellier and Limoges won this Friday, Nantes and Aix had every interest in winning this Sunday. But, in the poster for the 17th day of Lidl Starligue which opposed them on the floor of the H Arena, there was no winner in a match whose result does not do the business of people … except for the Héraultais and the Limougeauds who observed it closely. Thanks to Eduardo Gurbindo (2 goals on 3 shots) and Dragan Pechmalbec (3 goals on 4 shots), the Nantes people started the match very well to take four goals in advance after eleven minutes of play. A gap that the players de Thierry Anti were unable to reduce at first, being five goals behind with nine minutes of halftime. But Nicolas Claire (3 goals on 6 shots) came out of his box to bring the PAUC to three lengths, the gap at half-time but everything indicated that Aix still had a card to play in this meeting.

If Alexandre Cavalcanti (2 goals on 3 shots) and Rok Ovnicek (3 goals on 7 shots) gave Nantes five goals ahead of the second period, Aix took advantage of a Nantes air gap, with Alberto Entrerrios’ players weaned from goal for nearly eight minutes, to score five consecutive goals and equalize 20 minutes from the end of the meeting. A series marked by a goalkeeper duel between Anders Lynge Hansen (10 saves at 30% efficiency) on the Aix side and Emil Nielsen (9 saves at 29% efficiency) on the Nantes side. The last 20 minutes of the meeting saw the two teams give in blow for blow with the PAUC which knew to take two goals in advance but Kiril Lazarov (6 goals on 10 shots) did not tremble unlike some of his teammates . On the last action, Aix had the match point but Ian Tarrafeta (2 goals on 6 shots) missed the last free throw. The “H” and the PAUC leave in a draw (23-23). If the Aixois regain third place in Limoges, Nantes does not make a close in the direction of the podium of the Lidl Starligue.
