Star Wars: Squadrons to receive new post-launch content

EA Motive said they had no plans to add more content to Star Wars: Squadrons, and six weeks later, we have official confirmation that it actually does. This space combat game is getting a new map and ships, and while we’re not complaining, it’s still a bit strange that its developers have changed their minds so quickly. Could it be that the top executives have put pressure?

Next week, specifically the November 25, update 3.0 will add a new multiplayer map. Known as Foster Haven, will be inspired by the mission of the story prologue and will be available in the modes Fleet Battles and Dogfight. This new location will also be accompanied by a huge list of adjustments and balance changes. Then in December, another update will add two Starfighters, the B-wing and TIE defender.

Ian Frazier, creative director, thanks with the following message:

Thank you for trusting us, thank you for being a part of the Squadrons community, and thank you for helping us make the game better with your feedback. And especially, thanks to all those who supported us before its launch. It is thanks to you that we can begin to conceptualize all these new things. They really make a difference. Take care, and see you in the stars. “
