Star + and Disney +, available from June in Mexico

Fox channels officially changed their name a day ago, now they are known as Star, this is considered as the first step to receive the new streaming platform, which will be known as Star +, which will be launched in Mexico on 17 June and in 17 other Latin American countries.

This new platform will replace Fox Play on smartphones, tablets and smart televisions, so that users can continue to have access to series such as The Walking Dead, Grey’s Anatomy and This Is Us and films such as Blind Love and Birdman.

Gonzálo Fiure, Senior Vice President of DMED Latin America Entertainment for The Walt Disney Company, who acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019, said that this platform comes to be a complement to those that already exist and will be totally independent.

The content that this platform will have are films and series for adults, such as the classics Alien and Predator, as well as some Disney content. The good news for those who want to contract this service will have a discount for people who contract Disney + and Star + together when the second is available.

Although people can contract these two services for a promotional price, each of the platforms will be independent. At the moment the exact price that these platforms will have was not released.

But the managers estimate that it is between $ 290 and $ 330 pesos maximum per month since if it is more than that, people could not pay for all the streaming services they have. For you to finish deciding, some of the content you can find on this platform are: all seasons of The Simpsons and The Shape of Water.

In addition to this, in June HBO Max will be launched, which will have content from HBO and Warner Bros, even so the recommendation if you are interested in hiring any of these services is to be aware of the discounts and promotions that are offered.
