The company promised that this year it would share more information about the game, but the months have passed and we haven’t heard from him.

Fans can’t wait to learn more about this new adventure that will take them to the world of Valisthea, where a war will break out between the Grand Duchy of Rosaria and other important kingdoms.

Square Enix wants to avoid speculation and disappointment with Final Fantasy XVI

Yoshida spoke to the Washington Post (via Wccftech) about the lack of news about the new installment. The creative said that from the beginning he planned to be clear in communicating with fans regarding Final Fantasy XVI.

With this in mind, Yoshida prefers to keep quiet before sharing half-news. What the developer fears the most is that the information is partially shared and this causes both speculation and disappointment among players.

“Each person will probably have their own idea or image of what the next Final Fantasy should be. Saying something half-hearted is definitely a very high risk. If you talk about something, someone will take you on social media and you will start to get to know each other, and people will form expectations, ”explained Yoshida.

The producer noted that they will reveal more information about Final Fantasy XVI when it is possible to show what type of game it will be and what it will offer to fans of the saga. Thus, it is unknown when one more preview of the JRPG will be shown.

There is no information on its release date either, but recent reports claim that its debut might not be that far off. This since the project would take approximately 4 years in development.

In fact, Square Enix confirmed that it has already completed some phases of the initial development, such as the production of scenarios and other basic sections. At the end of last year the company was looking for staff to work on boss battles and more gameplay elements.
