At the end of the 90s and after experiencing the glory of the second golden age of the Arcade thanks to fighting games, SNK and Capcom joined forces in what would be the most anticipated crossover and that could well mark the end of a great moment in the history of video games. The duel became a reality and the characters of both companies came out to fight and of course there was a delivery for Neo Geo Pocket Color, which is back thanks to the Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection line of Nintendo Switch.
SNK vs Capcom: the definitive ’90s crossover
Through a press release, SNK reported that SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millenium is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop at a cost of $ 155.01 MXN. This installment is a port of the original version that debuted in 1999 and celebrated the union between SNK and Capcom in what represented the definitive crossover of fighting games. In fact, SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millenium is considered one of the best games that came to SNK’s portable console as it took the potential of its hardware to the maximum level and perfected the proposal that had been developed with other franchises.
Initially, SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millenium features 26 characters from franchises such as The King of Fighters, Street Fighter, Samurai Shodown, and Darkstalkers. Likewise, its offer of game modes includes Survival, Time Attack and various mini-games to obtain points and unlock extras.
As you can expect, this crossover is a true love letter for the franchises that are part of it and the details are in view in each setting, character and minigame, so fun and fan service are the order of the day. .
Thus, the Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection line of Switch continues to be nurtured with more games that, thankfully, have found a second chance on Nintendo’s successful hybrid console.
