360 degree views of Singapore Bay for a “captivating” experience
It is clear that Apple has always placed a special emphasis on the experience of its physical stores. But with this Apple Store, the company has outdone itself. Located in Singapore Bay, one of the most futuristic cities in the world, if not the most, the company has decided to raise its bet.
Completely surrounded by water, Apple Marina Bay Sands offers uninterrupted 360-degree panoramic views of the city and its spectacular skyline. The sphere is the first of its kind, a self-supporting structure made up of 114 pieces of glass and just 10 narrow vertical mullions for structural connection.
With these words they describe from Cupertino what will be the brand’s third establishment in Singapore. Apple claims have been inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, whose dome houses an oculus that “provides an avalanche of light that travels through space.” We will also find some trees inside that blur the light and play with the shadows.
To complete the store, we will meet an underwater space accessed through an escalator. In addition to exhibitors with products, there is also a meeting room for companies and developers.
