Although the Flash movie is still a long way from hitting theaters, or streaming services, it was recently revealed that an iconic DC heroine will be joining this project, and her actress is of Latino origin. A few moments ago, Andy Muschietti, director of this film, revealed that Sasha Calle will be in charge of bringing Supergirl to life in this highly anticipated DCEU movie.
Through a tweet, Muschietti confirmed that Street, actress of Colombian origin and known for her participation in the telenovela The Young and the Restless, will be in charge of bringing Supergirl to life in the DCEU. This is what the director commented on the matter:
“I saw more than four hundred auditions from the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. The talent available was truly incredible and it was very difficult to make a decision, but we finally found an actress whose destiny was to play this role. “

The movie of The Flash is shaping up to be a big event for DC. In addition to Supergirl, we will see Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton reprise the role of Batman, each representing a different version of the same character. On the other hand, the character of Supergirl has been played by Helen Slater in the 1984 Supergirl movie, Laura Vandervoort in Smallville and recently Melissa Benoist on the Supergirl show.
The Flash movie will be released sometime in 2022. On related issues, Zack Snyder’s Justice League will have an international release next month.
