The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, took advantage of his visit to the United States, in which he is not going to meet with his counterpart Joe Biden, to attend the popular Morning Joe program on the MSNBC network.

The journalist who interviewed Sánchez, Mika Brzezinski, asked him precisely one of the questions that have circulated the most in recent days, especially in the United States. “New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cupertino … Why not Washington?” The co-host wanted to know.

After the pandemic, in Spain we are defining our roadmap for the recovery of the economy. To do this, we need to have the US private sector on board. That is why we are here, ”Sánchez began to respond.

The Prime Minister revealed that he is going to travel to Los Angeles or San Francisco: “We are living in a moment after the pandemic in which we need public investment to modernize and digitize our economy and we also need to find a fit with the private one.”

In addition, in the interview Sánchez also wanted to remember that Spanish society is willing to be vaccinated practically in its entirety and that the short-term objective is for 70 percent of the population to be immunized by the end of summer.
