Nintendo has maintained a strong launch on Switch every month for the past year. In March we saw Animal Crossing: New Horizons and in a couple of days Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will arrive. Although the next Paper Mario will be the star of July, we still don’t know what lies ahead for June. Fortunately, A recent leak points out that Metroid fans will have their hands full the following month.
According to the Swedish site Inet, the much-rumored Metroid Prime Trilogy would finally arrive on Nintendo Switch on June 19, 2020. As of this writing, the page is no longer available, which is a standard process for such leaks.
Interestingly, the leak comes through the same Swedish site that started these rumors first in late 2018 and was aiming for a release in February 2019, making the claim more intriguing than ever. However, Nintendo has not confirmed anything about it. Similarly, the site has already been wrong once, so may this just be another mistake. Finally, on June 19 The Last of Us Part II goes on sale, considered by many to be the most important game of the following month, so it is strange that the Metroid Prime Trilogy can hit the market that same day.
At the moment nothing is certain. With no news of a new Nintendo Direct on the horizon, This announcement, if it is real, is likely to be delivered in the next few days in a similar way to Paper Mario: The Origami King., that is, with a surprise trailer. We can only wait.
