Rolls-Royce to use select wood to make a Phantom

The British firm announced that it will use a very special wood for the assembly of a very special Phantom.

He noted that he received an order from a couple vacationing in Hawaii who are now seeking to preserve that spirit in a high-end vehicle like the Phantom.

This model will have Koa wood inserts, a tree species that only occurs in Hawaii and is highly rare, so it can only be extracted from land dedicated to this crop.

The brand is even aware that due to its special growing conditions, it is extremely precious to find a trunk with certain characteristics.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce; noted that “The Koa Phantom demonstrates the extraordinary skill of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective: a precious and rare example of a naturally-derived material, Koa wood, is masterfully incorporated into the contemporary interior of the Phantom. It took over three years for this request came true and we are delighted that it occupies an important place in the collection of its future owners. ”

The brand did not reveal more details about the price of a Koa tree, nor the final price of this model.
