We want to thank Aliexpress for leaving us this robot vacuum cleaner Yeedi k650 to prove it. The shipment has been made from the warehouse in Spain and it has barely taken two days to arrive, right now you can find it at a price of € 142.
This robot comes in a very large box with the brand’s markings all over it. It is a box that in turn includes a box inside. This box opens through its top cover and reveals the instruction manuals, what looks like a filter, replacement mop (washable and reusable microfiber cloth), a tray where to deposit these rags and a brush without tangles.
Below, we find the K650 robot, the charging station, a European current transformer, and two propellers or side brushes.
The robot’s body includes the CE (European Conformity) symbol that indicates that it meets the legal and technical minimums in terms of safety to market it in Europe.
This robot comes practically assembled and if we need help we have an instruction manual in Spanish that is very well detailed. In addition, next to the dust container, it includes a small brush to clean the filter.

CONNECTIVITY AND SOFTWARE
There are 2 modes of operation, with mobile app or from manual way.
First of all I will explain how to use the robot manually:
It is very simple and you just have to turn it on with the side button (if we do not have it on) and press the top button to start working. In this way, the robot will start cleaning using its sensors.
If we press it again, the robot will finish the cleaning. Although there is no specific button to return to the charging base. This can be used for houses that do not have WiFi.
In the case of wanting to use it with an application to get the most out of it, we can download it from the official Android application stores just by putting in Google Play: yeedi or putting in the App Store: yeedi.
It is compatible for both Android and iOS.
This application includes many configuration options and is very easy to pair. You just have to follow the instructions that appear in the app and in a matter of 2 minutes we will have it ready to work. In my case it has also been necessary to update the firmware of the Yeedi K650.
This robot must be connected to a 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi network and using a hidden network or VPN is not advised. And the network to which we connect it must reach the whole house.
Dispose of 3 cleaning modes: One for edge cleaning, one automatic mode and one for spot cleaning. The difference between these 3 modes is the way you clean these surfaces since the automatic mode makes a line in straight lines and the point mode makes spheres from the center.
On the other hand, you can also select the cleaning power: Mute, Standard, Max, and Max +.
This robot has several languages, including Spanish or English. You can also select if we want the K650 to give us a voice report. It is very important to adjust the volume from the application since by default it comes with a very high volume.
In the app we also have a meter of the uses of the accessories that recommends us when it would be necessary to change them.
On the other hand, there is also an option in which you can set the time and the way for the robot vacuum cleaner to start working.
Synchronize it with Google Home:
Once we have configured the vacuum cleaner in our Yeedi account, it can be synchronized with Google Assistant.
To do this, we open Google Home, and clicking on our profile and selecting “Assistant Settings”. Now we must go to “Devices”, click on the “Add a device” button, and on the next screen select “Link a device”. In this way, we can link the Yeedi account to our Google Home account.
Subsequently, the name of the application “Yeedi” is searched and we have to enter our credentials so that Google has access to our account.
With this we will already have our K650 robot linked to our Google Home account.
DESIGN AND HARDWARE
It is a robot very similar to others in terms of size and design. Have a 335mm diameter and 79mm height and maintains a round design. Its weight with all accessories is 5.88Kg.
It is a device with a well-kept aesthetic and that is only available in white.
Also, unlike other vacuum cleaner robots, as it does not have a periscope (the module that is located on top of several robots and where the laser is usually located) it can pass under more surfaces such as certain sofas or armchairs, living room tables or drawers. . And it is that compared to the Roborock S6 or the Xiaomi Mijia Vacuum Mop Pro it is up to 4 cm lower.
The upper part is bright white and has a button in the center with the brand’s logo and a small LED that indicates the status of the WiFi.
On the front of the robot we can see that it has a moving part (which acts as a bumper) and a black glass screen that includes all the motion sensors. From what I have been able to research it includes a full suite of navigation sensors (infrared based), fall arrest sensors that identify stairs or cliffs, and collision sensors that help avoid collisions with obstacles (such as furniture).
On one of the sides it has a on / off switch (slide) button and a small reset button. On the back you can see the deposit. It is a double tank in which the dust it sucks is stored in one, and the water tank is in the other.
The lower part is made up of several parts. On the one hand we have two fall arrest sensors just in front of a movement wheel (which is in charge of making the robot turn), two side brushes that are in charge of collecting the dust and introducing it towards the center, and next to the two propulsion wheels there is the main brush that is responsible for absorbing the dust. It is an engine with 2000 pascal suction.
In this lower part it is also possible to add the tray of the cleaning cloth designed to pass the mop or mop.
OPERATION AND USE EXPERIENCE
This Yeedi K650 has several manual operating modes: vacuum, mop and mop.
The vacuum function It goes through the house and with the propellers it gathers the dust in the center of the robot and when it passes over it, it sucks it up. For me it is the function that I use the most.
The mop function it is releasing liquid to wet the cloth and where it passes it soaks the ground.
With the mixed operation (vacuum cleaner and mop) we run a problem: that if there is a lot of dust, the scrub tray can get dirty, obtaining an undesirable result. That is why it would be advisable to first make a pass with the vacuum cleaner. Also for people who have rugs the mop function does not work as it would soak the rugs.
The mop function It is very similar to the mop but without using the water tank.
As I have already mentioned, these are manual modes and depending on the accessories that we add to the robot, it will work one way or the other. As I have been able to prove, it always sucks.
Regarding the power, the manufacturer assures us that has 2000 pascals power. This is a figure that I consider the minimum essential for any robot. This power is capable of cleaning the floor perfectly without leaving dust on both carpets and smooth floors.
In my case, I have a robot vacuum cleaner that I run twice a week and after running this robot in standard mode for 94 minutes and vacuuming 112m², the amount of dust it has removed has surprised me.
Also according to the dust extracted after this first pass, I think it would be possible to pass the robot twice without cleaning the tank.
To remove the tank, it must be removed from the back. It is quite easy to remove it, although to empty the dust it costs a little more since you have to use a little force to open the lid of the dirt tank.
After testing with different sizes of dirt (dust, rice, lentils, chickpeas) it can be seen that the cleaning is quite precise and that it does not leave a trace of dirt.
The cleaning system is very similar to other robots I have used. He begins by doing the perimeter of the room trying not to leave any corners and then he makes a tour of the room. It has 4 levels of precision, and depending on the level of aspiration we choose, it will make several passes over the same surface.
The obstacles he detects well, although the first time he does it by contact. When an object is encountered, the bumper feels pressure and rolls over.
Once the cleaning is complete, you will return to the loading dock.
The truth is that in my case I have had no malfunctioning either with the carpets or with the curtains. This Yeedi has been able to climb any type of rug (even those with fringes) without getting tangled up or asking for help. (For climbing, it has climbed on my scale that measures just over 2 cm ^^). And unlike other vacuum cleaners, it has not stopped when reaching the curtains either. It has continued without any inconvenience.
I do not like that I have not gotten it to map the house, so it is not possible to instruct you to clean only one room. Therefore, it does not indicate the route that it is making through the house either.
To clean only one room, you will have to take the robot, leave it in that room and close the door so that it does not come out. (So it is not much of a problem if you do not have house mapping).
And as for weak points, I have to mention that being a round robot it is difficult for it to extract dust from the corners. This is a general problem of this type of robots (nothing very worrisome).
On the other hand, mention that there is a small brush next to the dust container to clean the robot once it is used.
BATTERY AND CHARGING
Like most robot vacuum cleaners, this Yeedi K650 has a charging base that must be connected to the current through the 11.4W power transformer.
The charging base has dimensions of 170mm x 130mm x 80mm although it must be located in an area where the robot also enters and leaves a small margin for maneuver (in my case I have left 450mm).
And despite not knowing the battery capacity of this robot, it has an autonomy of up to 130 minutes in a row.
When charging it does so autonomously with what we don’t have to worry about anything. When it detects that it is running out of battery it will return to the charging station.
A full charge can take between 4 and a half hours and 5 and a half hours.
