Design and Materials
This new terminal maintains a traditional design without changes with respect to its direct competitors (Xiaomi Redmi Note 9). This Realme 7 is made of plastic. It measures 75.4mm wide, 162.3mm high, and is 9.4mm thick, making your weight is 196 g.
The front part stands out for its hole in the screen that is located on the left side of the screen. This notch is somewhat larger than what a high-end smartphone would have. The usable screen area remains at 85%.
Ride a IPS LCD panel 6.5 inches with a Full HD + resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a density of 405 pixels per inch. The aspect ratio remains at 20: 9. This is a 2.5D screen rounded at the corners.
But it is also that this screen has a refresh rate 90Hz real (which gives a greater sense of fluidity) and has a tactile response of 120Hz.
In terms of resistance, it has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 glass, but it does not have any type of water resistance certification. Still, I would recommend putting a tempered glass on the screen to avoid accidental breakage.
The screen quality is quite good and the colors are vivid (86% NTSC). The contrast is 1500: 1 and the brightness is 480 nits so I don’t think you need to strain your eyes on almost any occasion.
This device has the “TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification” certification that ensures that the screen meets a minimum quality and that it will not harm our eyes. This certification takes into account that the screen does not provide annoying reflections, that the image quality is preserved from different perspectives, that the blue light content is adjustable and that it ensures that the screens do not flicker.
Something that has surprised me a lot is the position of the fingerprint reader. This is located on the “power” button (on and off) that is in a slit on the right side. It works quickly and precisely and you don’t have to press (just resting your finger is enough).
Facial recognition is also very fast. It can also be configured to unlock when you pick up the phone.
In the back it is very elegant even if it is plastic. In the upper left area there is a module with four cameras. Just to the right of these, there is a double led flash. The camera module protrudes a couple of millimeters from the body of the phone.
Below and in the same line we find the Realme brand. On the opposite side is the CE symbol.
This back is dark blue with gradients depending on how it is light. The truth is that it is impressive!
The edges of the back are slightly curved to make it more comfortable to grip.
The sides change with respect to other phones or what I am used to. On the right side it has an on / off button with a small indentation indicating that it also works as a fingerprint reader. And on the contrary, on the left side is the slot for nano-SIM cards and the volume up and down button.
In addition, the card slot has the ability to add a memory card independently.
At the bottom it has the 3.5mm Jack connector for the headphones, the microphone, the USB type C (reversible) right in the center, and the stereo speaker.
The top is completely empty.
